About Us

We are three generations of nerds.  We love hanging out with new people, experiencing new places and adventures, eating and especially the tourism business.  Ask us anything and if we don't know, we will check it out and get back to you.

Jana: I was born and raised practically in Beaver's Bend State Park.   My favorite classes in college were community recreation, camp counseling, and horsemanship, bowling etc.

         I taught elementary school almost 20 years, specializing in science, social studies, and other excuses to take a field trip. Since then, I have probably had 20 jobs in search of the one I would do for free. I have managed apartment complexes,  a marina, a landscape plant wholesale establishment and more.   

         In 2012, I came back to my hometown to manage a hunting and tourist lodge,  I have to say it was the job I'd do for free if I was rich.  Then in 2016, the lodge sold and the dream was over. I have been lost at a CPA firm ever since!

Jess:  Jana is my mom.  I was born in Arkansas lived in Oklahoma. and celebrated my 1st birthday in a hotel in Texas.  Then when I started school, she really tried to keep me there until graduation.
