I went to the 10th Annual Red Slough Birding Convention this weekend .

On my day off a couple of weeks ago, I sent a message volunteering to help with the event so I could get a free guided tour of Red Slough. I shortly received a call asking me to make the coffee each morning. "Sure" I said and added the dates to my calendar. That was easy enough, I was going to the bird festival.
